ARKAIK To Enter Studio This Week

June 29, 2009

Riverside, California-based technical/progressive death metallers ARKAIK have issued the following update:

"ARKAIK will be entering Seahorse Sound Studios July 3rd to begin recording their debut album, 'Reflections Within Dissonance'. The album will contain nine original tracks and cover art done by Pär Olofsson [ABORTED, EMETH]. The album will be recorded and mixed by Samur Khouja of Seahorse Sound and mastered by Stefano Morabito of 16th Cellar Studios (HOUR OF PENANCE, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE). The album is expected to be released later this year on Unique Leader Records."

According to the band's official bio, "The manifestation of ARKAIK began with the intent to create the most versatile and original sound in existence, using only the most intense, extreme and passionate influences. Caring not for the generic mediocrity that plagues the majority of all genres these days, they have fiercely sought after a sound that places them far above what is considered 'the norm.' Human nature leads us to question existence, to find new pathways of thought and logic.

"ARKAIK is the musical representation of this form of idealogy. Simply listen to one song and the plethora of musical influences that form ARKAIK are devastatingly apparent. This makes them appealing to all fans of heavy metal, regardless of their genre preference."
